How to Use b.VPN - OpenVPN Client for Linux

*Note: Before installation, please make sure you have OpenVPN-systemd-resolved installed
Type: sudo apt-get install openvpn-systemd-resolved

*Note: For Ubuntu 20.04 we have just released a new update in the following link:

If you are using Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04 (64-bit), get the package from one of the links:

https://www.bvpn.com/imgstore/setup/files/bvpn_2.5.5_amd64.deb

For every other Linux distribution including Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 (32-bit), get the new build in the following link:

https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/b-vpn/bVPN2.4.27LinuxBeta.tar.xz

Extract the archive then go to the app directory.

Right click and "Open in Terminal".

In the new terminal window you will have to make sure you got the latest python 3.5.+

Type: sudo apt-get install python3

Now you will need to run the Python service

Type: sudo python3 service.py

You should see in terminal "Ready to accept connection"

Now go to the folder and run the file: bVPN-x86_64.AppImage

Login to your b.VPN account and connect.

*PLEASE NOTE: this is a beta version; some functions like server speed test OR configuring browsers with Shadowsocks if selected might not be working.

However, you can still use Shadowsocks if you use it as a standard Shadowsocks client and configure browser yourself. The rest of the app functions should work normally including Smoke "Default Tunnel".
